"Where are all the people? Isn't this supposed to be a city?"
"This city is sooo much cleaner than New York!"
"I just saw a car wait for a person! People do that?!?"
Last weekend I took our awesome youth group girls to the Revolve Tour! It's a Christian conference for teenage girls with amazing concerts, speakers, drama - super fun! We went to the conference in Hartford, CT and there were over 4,000 teenage girls present - amazing! One of my favorite parts of the retreat was my New York girls' reactions to the city of Hartford, CT. Here are my three favorite quotes: "Where are all the people? Isn't this supposed to be a city?" "This city is sooo much cleaner than New York!" "I just saw a car wait for a person! People do that?!?" At the conference the girls were challenged to consider sponsoring a World Vision child. For just $35 a month we can provide a child with food, clean water, clothing, medical care, and education - that's just amazing! We chose three Malian children to sponsor as a youth group! Each teen just needs to bring $1 a week to youth group and we can care for three Malian children - that rocks my socks off! :) By the way, our youth group raised almost $6,000 through 30 Hour Famine last month! Teenagers can change the world! 4/6/2011 06:09:04 pm
Hey, appreciate it for taking the effort to do this. I like your webpage, although it took a sluggish reader like me some time to via throughout entire page and the many comments. Comments are closed.
